Why Pyaar Impossible became Hit Impossible?

It was just a few weeks ago that we saw the promos of Pyaar Impossible under the Yash Raj banner that tells us the story of a geek with a beautiful and charming girl. Of course, this combination never works in practical life, but Uday Chopra who is also producing the movie this time around has tried to create a chemistry between the two characters who are from two different world. Though, the movie has received an average ratings, it has failed to attract a large chunk of viewers because of its loose script and not-so-good treatment.

The story is about a guy Abhay (Uday) who is a geek and a girl Alisha (Priyanka) who are from two different world, but they go to the same university. While Abhay gets all his credit as a geek, Alisha gets all the attention because she is the college beauty. However, situations go wrong for Alisha all the time and it is the intelligent Abhay who pulls her out of the situation, somehow they both keep meeting each other. Later the story moves forward and Abhay who have now become a software programmer finds that an upcoming investor has stolen his software and is selling it to some company. Abhay follows the investor and finds Alisha who is the Head of Marketing and PR in that company. Abhay decides to talk to Alisha but she misunderstands him for a nanny and what happens next gets you till the climax of the story.

The soundtrack of the movie is composed by Salim-Sulaiman but except the song "Alisha" none of the other tracks have been able to capture the hearts of the audience. So overall the soundtrack is not so hit among the masses as we normally see with the movies that are under the Yash Raj banner.

Actor-turned-director Jugal Hansraj makes his second attempt into direction after directing his animated movie Roadside Romeo in 2008, but I guess he needs to get more lessons before he starts on with his third directorial project. Uday Chopra as a geek guy does look convincing but still lacks acting talents that is required to handle the movie and to carry the movie all the way to success. Out of all the lot, Priyanka seems to be convincing despite the poor script given to her but even she couldn't help from making Pyaar Impossible a possible hit at the box office.
